As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy retail mall location, you will complete routine foot patrols, remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, support access control, and respond to customer needs with calm, clear communication. You will document activity, use site technology as needed, and partner with a collaborative team. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• A guard card/license is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control/badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a retail and mall setting.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating with on-site management and public emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout common areas, corridors, storefront perimeters, parking areas, and exterior grounds to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential issues.
• Monitor access points and loading or receiving areas as assigned, including observing for unauthorized entry, suspicious behavior, and policy violations, and reporting concerns to management.
• Complete routine reports and document incidents, observations, and patrol activity, including communicating key updates to Allied Universal leadership and the site team.
