About The Position

As a Security Officer - Unarmed Rounds in Richmond, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Requirements

• A Guard Card and/or license is preferred.
• CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, guests, and/or employees by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting observations and notifying site leadership and/or emergency services as required.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of interior areas, building entrances, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify hazards or maintenance concerns.
• Monitor access control points by verifying authorization, managing visitor check-in and/or badging as directed, and directing traffic flow for deliveries and authorized contractors.
• Complete shift reports, incident reports, and activity logs, and communicate key information during post handoff to support consistent security-related operations.
