About The Position

As a Security Officer Unarmed Vehicle Patrol Driver in Dallas, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a leading tech, media, and telecom location, you will conduct routine patrols and remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents while delivering outstanding customer service. This is a driving post, so you will use a company vehicle to cover assigned areas, support access control needs, and communicate clearly with site teams. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.
  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and vendors by following site-specific security-related procedures, access requirements, and service expectations in a tech and office environment.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior and exterior areas, including parking lots, loading areas, and perimeter points, to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify maintenance or policy concerns.
  • Monitor access points and security-related systems such as badges, visitor logs, CCTV views, and/or alarm panels, and report irregularities according to post orders.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical calls, disruptions, and/or unauthorized persons, and coordinate with onsite contacts and emergency responders as needed.
  • Document patrols, incidents, and observations in written reports and electronic systems, and communicate status updates during shift turnovers.
