Security Officer - Unarmed - Warehouse Site
About The Position
As a Security Officer - Unarmed - Warehouse Site in Monee, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a leading tech/media/telecom location, you will conduct routine patrols and rounds, stay visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license under AU Driver Policy Requirements for mobile patrols and quick response. You will communicate clearly, document detailed reports, and work with Allied Universal teammates who are agile, reliable, innovative, and act with integrity.
Requirements
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology and communications location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and actions per post orders.
- Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of offices, lobbies, corridors, loading areas, parking areas, and building perimeters to help to deter unauthorized activity.
- Control access by monitoring entry points, verifying identification and/or visitor authorization, and directing deliveries and service providers according to site procedures.
- Monitor cameras, radios, and other systems, report maintenance concerns and unusual conditions, and communicate with Allied Universal supervision and site contacts as needed.
