As a Security Officer - Unarmed - Full Time in Oshkosh, WI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a busy manufacturing and industrial location, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, track visitors and deliveries, and conduct routine patrols to help discourage security-related incidents. You will stay visible, communicate clearly with employees and guests, and document activity with accuracy and integrity. This is a driving post requiring a valid drivers license, supporting Allied Universal values through teamwork, reliability, and a people-first approach.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an industrial manufacturing location.
• Control access at designated entry points by verifying identification, authorizations, and visitor purpose, issuing visitor credentials, and directing traffic to approved areas.
• Monitor alarms, cameras, and access control systems, and report unusual activity, hazards, and/or policy violations to site leadership and Allied Universal management.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating notifications, documenting actions taken, and assisting with post-incident reporting.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entrances, loading docks, production support areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized entry and/or suspicious activity.
