You will greet and screen visitors, verify credentials, manage badges and logs, and monitor assigned areas while staying visible to help reduce security-related incidents. This is a driving post requiring a valid drivers license. Bring strong communication and customer service as you work with a team that is agile, reliable, innovative, and guided by integrity.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • A minimum of 1 year of security experience is required.
  • Client requires proof of high school diploma and/or GED.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and visitors by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a utility facility.
  • Control access at gates and/or lobbies by verifying identification and authorization, issuing visitor credentials, and maintaining access logs and other required documentation.
  • Monitor alarms, cameras, and access control systems; respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; and notify site leadership and/or emergency services as required.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, substations, yards, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized entry, theft, and/or damage; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
  • Support operational continuity by coordinating with control rooms, maintenance teams, and/or third-party vendors for scheduled access, deliveries, and work permits, escalating concerns through the proper channels.
