As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that can help to deter security-related incidents. You will respond to concerns with calm, professional communication, support staff and visitors with customer service, and document observations. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by following Allied Universal post orders, site-specific policies, and assigned security-related procedures within a healthcare location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify hazards, maintenance concerns, and policy issues.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, using de-escalation techniques and coordinating with clinical staff and local responders as needed.
  • Support access control by monitoring entrances, verifying credentials when required, directing visitors, and documenting entry issues per site guidelines.
  • Complete detailed reports of patrol activity, incidents, and irregular conditions, and communicate updates to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
