About The Position

As a Security Officer - Vehicle Patrol Driver in Louisville, KY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy retail location, you will spend much of your shift on the move, completing vehicle-based patrols and visible walk-throughs to help to deter security-related incidents. You will check key areas, respond to calls for assistance, document observations, and provide outstanding customer service through clear communication. This is a driving post, so a valid driver’s license is required. Allied Universal is agile, reliable, innovative, and people first.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors and associates by carrying out Allied Universal security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout retail sales floors, back-of-house areas, parking lots, and the perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
• Observe and report suspicious activity, policy violations, hazards, and maintenance concerns, and communicate updates to store management and Allied Universal leadership.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including disputes, medical calls, alarms, and requests for assistance.
• Complete detailed shift documentation, incident reports, and daily activity logs, and assist with access control and customer and/or employee direction as needed.
