About The Position

As a Security Officer - Visitor Check-In Driver in Nederland, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Allied Universal Access Control Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will greet employees, contractors, and visitors, verify credentials, manage entry and exit points, and document activity with clear communication. You will remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents while delivering customer service with integrity and teamwork. This is a driving post, requiring a valid driver’s license in line with AU Driver Policy Requirements.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a chemical and/or petrochemical location.
  • Control access at entry points by verifying identification, confirming authorization, issuing visitor credentials, and maintaining visitor and vehicle logs in accordance with site-specific requirements.
  • Coordinate access for employees, contractors, and deliveries by communicating with site contacts, monitoring inbound and outbound traffic flow, and reporting irregular access requests.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including notifying site contacts and completing incident documentation as required.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, including monitoring doors, gates, and restricted areas to help to deter unauthorized access.
