As an Access Control Officer at a leading aero and defense location, you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, manage visitor check-in, and help maintain controlled access to sensitive areas. You will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and document activity with clear, professional reports. Requirements

  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense location.
  • Control access to restricted areas by verifying identification, processing badges and/or visitor credentials, maintaining entry and exit logs, and directing authorized personnel and visitors to the proper checkpoints.
  • Screen visitors, vendors, and deliveries according to site requirements, including inspection of packages and vehicles when assigned, and report irregularities through the established chain of communication.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating notifications, documenting observations, and supporting site response protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around designated interior checkpoints, entryways, and the perimeter as assigned; working environments and conditions may vary by client site.
