As an Allied Universal Security Officer at a busy transportation location, you will manage access control points, verify credentials, and guide visitors and employees with professional customer service. You will perform routine patrols of assigned areas, stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and document observations clearly. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a transportation parking location.
  • Monitor access control points for vehicles and pedestrians, verify credentials and/or permits, manage visitor and contractor entry, and direct traffic flow as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including disputes, alarms, medical situations, and/or suspicious activity, and notify appropriate personnel.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout parking areas, entrances, exits, and perimeter spaces to help to deter unauthorized access and/or misuse of the facility.
  • Complete required reports such as activity logs, incident reports, and access records, and communicate observations and/or issues to site leadership.
