About The Position

As a Security Officer - Visitor Entry Screening in Lebanon, TN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Allied Universal Officer supporting access control at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will greet associates and drivers, verify credentials, manage visitor and vehicle entry, and document activity with clear communication. You will conduct routine patrols and remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents while providing customer-focused service. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
  • Control access for employees, contractors, and visitors by checking identification, confirming authorization, issuing visitor credentials, and maintaining entry and exit logs.
  • Monitor truck gates, loading dock traffic, and employee entrances using CCTV and/or access control systems, reporting irregular activity per post orders to help to deter unauthorized access.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including dispatching notifications, documenting details, and coordinating with site leadership and/or emergency services as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of warehouse areas, parking lots, and the building perimeter, completing patrol documentation and reporting hazards or maintenance concerns to site contacts.
