About The Position

As a Security Officer - Visitor Credentialing in Sugar Grove, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a food and beverage location, you will greet employees and visitors, verify credentials, manage entry points, and monitor activity through routine rounds and technology systems. Your visible presence and clear communication help to reduce security-related incidents while supporting a positive customer experience. Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a food and beverage location.
  • Control access at entry points by verifying identification and authorization, issuing visitor credentials, maintaining visitor and contractor logs, and directing guests to the appropriate check-in locations.
  • Screen and manage incoming and outgoing deliveries by coordinating with shipping and receiving, confirming delivery documentation, and guiding drivers to designated docks, yards, and/or parking areas.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and escalating to site leadership and/or emergency services as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, production-adjacent areas, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized access, identifying hazards and/or irregular conditions and reporting them per site procedure.
