As an Allied Universal Screener at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will help keep operations moving by greeting visitors, checking credentials, conducting entry screening, and maintaining clear logs and communication with site teams. You will stay visible at key access points, monitor assigned areas for security-related concerns, and respond to requests with a service-first mindset. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Screen employees, visitors and drivers entering the logistics and distribution facility by verifying identification, confirming authorization and conducting package and/or bag inspections as permitted by site policy.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including reporting hazards, suspicious activity and/or policy violations to site leadership and Allied Universal management.
  • Support access control at entry points, yards and dock areas by directing foot and vehicle traffic, maintaining visitor logs and following established check-in and check-out procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter. Working environments and conditions may vary by client site.
