As a Screener at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will greet visitors and drivers, screen entries, support access control and badging, and help monitor assigned areas with routine patrols and a visible presence. You will document activity, communicate clearly, and deliver customer service that reflects Allied Universal values of agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, caring, and integrity while helping reduce security-related incidents.

Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients and site personnel by following Allied Universal post orders, security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Screen employees, visitors, vendors, and drivers at entry points by verifying identification, managing sign-in requirements, issuing visitor credentials, and directing traffic flow for warehouse and distribution operations.
  • Support shipping and receiving operations by controlling access to docks and yard areas, documenting trailer and container activity, and coordinating with operations staff regarding authorized pickups and deliveries.
  • Monitor alarms, CCTV, and access control systems and report irregular activity, property concerns, and policy violations according to site procedures to help to deter unauthorized access.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, complete reports as required, and conduct regular and random patrols of the facility interior, exterior, and perimeter areas.
