Job Description As a Security Officer - Visitor Services Desk Officer in Alpharetta, GA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As a Front Desk Officer with Allied Universal at a commercial real estate location, you will be the welcoming first point of contact while supporting daily security-related operations. You will greet and assist tenants and visitors, manage visitor access and badging, monitor cameras and building systems, and respond to alarms and requests with calm, clear communication. You will work with a team that values integrity, reliability, agility, and innovation.

Requirements

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service at the front desk of a commercial real estate location by following site-specific procedures, access control requirements, and post orders, and/or directing visitors to the appropriate contacts.
  • Greet and screen visitors, contractors, and vendors; verify identification and/or authorization; issue visitor credentials per site policy; and maintain a professional lobby presence that helps to deter unauthorized access.
  • Monitor alarms, cameras, intercoms, and building management notifications as assigned, and communicate unusual activity to property management and/or appropriate responders.
  • Respond to incidents, tenant concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following emergency response procedures and documenting actions taken.
  • Complete required logs and reports, including visitor activity, incident documentation, and shift handoff notes, and promptly escalate concerns through the Allied Universal chain of communication.
