As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a dynamic educational location, you will monitor and patrol buildings and grounds, complete routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will support access control and badge processes, respond to concerns with clear communication, and deliver a customer service mindset to students, faculty, staff, and visitors. Requirements
- Have a minimum of 2 years of security-related experience.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients, students, faculty, staff, and/or visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including reporting hazards, suspicious activity, and/or policy violations through required communication channels.
- Conduct regular and random foot patrols of campus buildings, academic areas, residence areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations; working environments and conditions may vary by assignment.
- Help to deter unauthorized access by monitoring access points, checking identification when required, and/or assisting with visitor direction and wayfinding.
- Complete timely documentation such as patrol logs, incident reports, and shift activity summaries, and support campus events with a visible presence and customer-focused assistance.
