As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government transportation location, you will conduct routine foot patrols, monitor access points and public areas, and maintain a highly visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents. You will assist travelers and staff with directions and service requests, document observations, and communicate clearly with site contacts and local responders. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government transportation location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of platforms, station interiors, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter zones; working environments and conditions may vary by assignment.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including handling disturbances, medical situations, and/or service disruptions, and requesting additional resources when needed.
  • Monitor access points and public areas, observe for unusual activity, and help to deter prohibited behavior by maintaining a professional presence and using de-escalation techniques.
  • Document and report incidents, patrol activities, and maintenance or hazard concerns according to Allied Universal and site procedures, and communicate status updates to site contacts and/or public partners as required.
