About The Position

As a Security Officer - Welcome Center Desk in Lake City, GA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Front Desk Security Officer at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will welcome employees, drivers, and visitors while managing access, badges, and check-ins. You will monitor cameras and alarm panels, document security-related activity, and communicate clearly with on-site teams to help reduce incidents. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, drivers, and staff at the front desk by following site-specific security-related procedures and policies.
  • Manage access control by greeting guests, verifying identification, issuing visitor credentials, and directing deliveries and pickups according to location requirements.
  • Monitor entry points and security-related systems such as cameras, alarms, and access logs, and report unusual activity that may help to deter issues.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting site leadership and/or emergency responders as needed.
  • Document activities, incidents, and service requests in written reports and shift logs, and communicate relevant updates to incoming personnel.
