Requirements

  • Proof of high school diploma/GED is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • A minimum of 5 years of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors and employees at the front desk by following Allied Universal post orders, security-related procedures, and site-specific policies for a utilities location.
  • Control access by greeting and screening entrants, verifying identification and/or work authorization, issuing temporary credentials as directed, and directing guests to the appropriate contact.
  • Monitor alarms, cameras, and communications systems from the front desk, documenting observations and reporting irregular activity per site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating notifications and emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Maintain accurate logs and reports, including visitor entries, deliveries, contractor check-in, and incident documentation, and communicate key information to site leadership as needed.
