Join Allied Universal at a fast-paced tech location as a Screener, helping support security-related operations through entry screening, access control, and clear communication with visitors and team members. You will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible to help to deter incidents, and document activity using a computer and/or tablet. Requirements

  • Have 2+ years of security-related experience.
  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
  • CPR/First Aid is preferred.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to onsite employees, contractors, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
  • Screen employees, visitors, and deliveries at designated entry points by verifying identification and/or credentials, checking authorization, and directing individuals to the appropriate areas.
  • Conduct security-related screening of persons, packages, and property using site-approved methods and equipment, and report prohibited items and/or policy violations per post orders.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and escalating to site leadership and/or emergency services as required.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, monitoring for unusual activity, unsecured doors, and/or hazardous conditions and reporting findings per site procedures.
