As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will respond to concerns, document activity, and provide professional customer service and communication to staff and visitors. Requirements

  • Have at least 1+ years of security experience.
  • Be at least 21+ years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • A guard card/license is preferred.
  • Handcuffs/pepper spray/baton experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors and staff at a government location by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and notify appropriate personnel per post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
  • Monitor access points and observe for unusual conditions, suspicious behavior, and/or hazards, taking action within scope of assignment and post instructions.
  • Complete routine reports, incident documentation, and shift logs, and communicate observations and/or concerns to Allied Universal management and site representatives.
