As a Security Officer - Full-Time Patrol - Weekdays in Philadelphia, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy charter school campus, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay visible to help discourage security-related incidents. You will support students, staff, and visitors with courteous communication, clear directions, and timely reporting of concerns. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to students, staff, parents, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an educational location.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, classrooms corridors, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or policy violations.
- Monitor access points during arrivals, dismissals, and special events; assist with visitor check-in processes and help to maintain orderly entry and exit.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; communicate with site leadership and/or public responders as directed.
- Complete routine reports and logs, document incidents and observations, and report maintenance hazards and/or suspicious conditions through established channels.
