You will monitor assigned areas, respond to concerns, and deliver clear communication and customer service with professionalism. Requirements

  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and/or staff by following Allied Universal protocols, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to on-site leadership, clinical staff, and/or public responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random foot patrols of patient care areas, lobbies, corridors, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify maintenance hazards or suspicious behavior.
  • Monitor access points, assist with visitor check-in procedures, and help to maintain orderly movement through entrances and common areas in accordance with site requirements.
  • Document security-related activities, incidents, and observations in written reports and/or electronic logs, and communicate relevant information during shift transitions.
