As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy education location, you will monitor and patrol buildings and grounds, complete routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will support access control and badge checks as needed, respond to calls for assistance, and deliver respectful customer service through clear communication. Requirements
- Have at least 2+ years of security-related experience.
- Be 21+ years of age.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to students, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an education location.
- Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of campus buildings, common areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential hazards.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including disturbances, medical calls, fire alarms, and access control concerns, and notify appropriate personnel as needed.
- Monitor and control access points as assigned by verifying credentials, assisting with directions, and reporting unauthorized access attempts in accordance with site-specific policies.
- Document patrols, incidents, and observations in written and/or electronic reports, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal supervision and site contacts.
