As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a retail and mall location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will respond to incidents, support guests and tenants with clear communication, and document observations. Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- A guard card and/or license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to tenants, guests, and retail partners by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout retail common areas, parking structures, loading zones, and perimeter routes to help to deter unwanted activity and identify maintenance or access concerns.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with disruptions, suspicious behavior, and medical incidents while coordinating with site leadership and/or public responders as needed.
- Monitor access points and key areas, observe for policy violations, and assist with traffic flow and crowd management during peak shopping periods and special events.
- Complete routine reports and incident documentation, communicate observations to the chain of command, and use site systems for radio, phone, and/or computer-based communications as required.
