Job Description As a Security Officer in Saint Paul, MN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a financial services location, you will conduct routine foot patrols, remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and respond to alarms and service requests. You will document observations, communicate clearly with staff and visitors, and support a welcoming environment through strong customer service. Bring agility, reliability, and integrity while working as part of a caring, innovative team.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a financial services location.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout office areas, common spaces, parking areas, and the building perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify maintenance or policy concerns.
- Monitor access points and verify credentials, manage visitor check-in and escort procedures, and help maintain orderly traffic flow in lobbies and other controlled areas.
- Respond to alarms, disturbances, and other incidents in a calm, problem-solving manner, contacting site representatives and/or emergency services as needed.
- Document patrol observations, incidents, and customer requests in written reports, and communicate key updates during shift turnovers.
