As an Allied Universal Security Officer in a government transit location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine patrols, and maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. You will communicate clearly with riders and staff, respond to concerns, and document observations with care. Guided by our agile, reliable, and innovative team, you will support a people-first culture while acting with integrity on every shift.

Requirements

  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • This is primarily a driving post.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff and the public by following site-specific security-related procedures, access guidelines, and emergency response protocols at a government transportation location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of transit facilities, platforms, passenger areas, parking areas, and perimeter zones to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify maintenance and operational concerns.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation, coordinating with supervisors and/or local authorities, and documenting actions taken.
  • Monitor entrances, restricted areas, and designated posts; verify credentials and/or permissions when required; and maintain visitor and delivery logs per site policy.
  • Prepare clear, detailed reports of incidents, patrol activity, and observations; use radios and other communication tools to relay pertinent information to site personnel and Allied Universal leadership.
