As an Allied Universal Security Officer in a government transit location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine patrols, and maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. You will communicate clearly with riders and staff, respond to concerns, and document observations with care. Guided by our agile, reliable, and innovative team, you will support a people-first culture while acting with integrity on every shift.

Requirements

Be 21+ years of age.
This is primarily a driving post.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to staff and the public by following site-specific security-related procedures, access guidelines, and emergency response protocols at a government transportation location.
Conduct regular and random patrols of transit facilities, platforms, passenger areas, parking areas, and perimeter zones to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify maintenance and operational concerns.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation, coordinating with supervisors and/or local authorities, and documenting actions taken.
Monitor entrances, restricted areas, and designated posts; verify credentials and/or permissions when required; and maintain visitor and delivery logs per site policy.
Prepare clear, detailed reports of incidents, patrol activity, and observations; use radios and other communication tools to relay pertinent information to site personnel and Allied Universal leadership.
