As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a tech, media, and telecom location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that may help reduce security-related incidents. You will support alarm response as needed, document observations, and provide clear customer service and communication to staff and visitors. Requirements

  • Have 1 or more years of security-related experience.
  • Be 21 or more years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to location staff, contractors, and visitors by following Allied Universal post orders, site-specific policies, and security-related procedures, and/or initiating emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of interior and exterior areas, including parking lots, entrances, loading docks, and perimeter points, to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points and visitor flow by confirming authorization, issuing badges when directed, maintaining sign-in logs, and directing individuals to the appropriate contacts per site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including reporting hazards, addressing alarms and/or access issues, and contacting site leadership and/or emergency services as directed.
  • Complete detailed reports and documentation for patrols, incidents, and observations using required systems, and communicate status updates during shift turnovers to support consistent security-related coverage.
