Security Officer - Distribution Site - Full Time

As a Security Officer - Distribution Site - Full Time in Pooler, GA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Screener in a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will help keep operations moving by monitoring access points, screening entrants, verifying identification and badges, and supporting access control procedures. You will stay visible, communicate clearly with employees and drivers, and document security-related activity with attention to detail. Requirements
- Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
- A guard card and/or license is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- CPR certification is preferred.
- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, drivers, contractors and/or visitors by following site-specific policies, access control procedures and security-related screening protocols at a logistics and distribution location.
- Conduct entry and exit screening such as checking identification, monitoring screening equipment, inspecting bags and packages when authorized and directing individuals through designated screening points.
- Monitor inbound and outbound vehicle and pedestrian flow at screening and checkpoint areas, helping to maintain orderly lines and reporting suspicious behavior, prohibited items and/or policy violations.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting site management and/or emergency responders as directed by post orders.
- Complete detailed reports of daily activity, screening results, incidents and/or unusual conditions, and communicate observations to Allied Universal supervision and site personnel.
