As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy retail and mall location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and respond to concerns with calm, clear communication. You will assist shoppers and tenants with directions and service-focused support while documenting observations and sharing updates with your team. Requirements

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, guests, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a retail mall setting.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout common areas, entrances, parking areas, and the exterior perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
• Monitor for suspicious or unusual activity, help to deter theft and/or disorderly conduct, and report hazards or maintenance concerns to the appropriate contacts.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with medical calls, disturbances, and lost child or property reports per site procedures.
• Document patrols, incidents, and observations in written reports and/or electronic systems, and communicate relevant updates to Allied Universal supervisors and location management.
