Job Description As a Security Officer in Irving, TX , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a retail and mall location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain highly visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and assist guests and staff with professionalism and clear communication. This is a driving post, so you will use a company vehicle as needed while completing routine rounds, documenting observations, and supporting a welcoming shopping experience through teamwork and integrity.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Being able to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, and/or visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a retail location.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout common areas, entrances, loading areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or policy violations.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and/or medical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, requesting additional assistance from site management and/or emergency services as needed.
• Monitor and report suspicious behavior, hazards, and/or maintenance concerns, completing accurate reports and communicating updates to the appropriate contacts.
• Support access control and security-related screening as assigned, including observing entry points, assisting with tenant concerns, and/or monitoring camera systems when available.
