As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at an education location, you will monitor and patrol buildings and grounds, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and support access control and ID badge checks. You will respond to calls for assistance, document observations, and communicate clearly with students, staff, and visitors while delivering customer-focused service. Requirements
- Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by following Allied Universal post orders, security-related procedures, and site-specific policies at an education location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and requests for assistance in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating with campus resources and/or public responders as directed.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of academic buildings, residence areas, parking areas, and exterior perimeters to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
- Monitor access points and campus areas for unusual activity, support visitor check-in and/or direction-giving when assigned, and report concerns to site leadership per post orders.
- Complete detailed incident reports, activity logs, and other documentation, and communicate pertinent information during shift briefings and/or handoffs.
