Job Description As a Security Officer - Corporate Welcome Desk in McLean, VA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Front Desk Officer at a high-end retail location, you will be the welcoming first point of contact while supporting security-related operations. You will help manage access, greet and assist guests, communicate clearly with store teams, and report concerns with professionalism. Requirements

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service while performing front desk duties, including greeting customers and staff, answering questions, and directing people to the appropriate area within the retail location.
• Carry out security-related procedures and site-specific policies at the front desk, including access control, key and/or badge accountability, and maintaining visitor and/or vendor logs.
• Monitor security-related systems from the desk such as cameras, alarms, and communications equipment, and report irregular activity according to post orders.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting events, notifying site management and/or emergency services when appropriate, and assisting with crowd and/or line management.
• Support retail loss prevention efforts by observing customer traffic patterns from the front desk, providing service-based presence to help to deter disruptive behavior, and escalating concerns to management per established procedures.
