As an Access Control Officer at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will greet drivers and staff, verify credentials, manage badges, and monitor entrances to help control site access. You will conduct routine patrols, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related concerns, and document activity with clear communication. Requirements

• Have 1 or more years of security experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• A guard card and/or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to guests, drivers, and employees by following access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Control entry and exit at gates and/or lobby points by verifying identification, checking credentials, and maintaining visitor and vehicle logs in accordance with post orders.
• Screen trucks, trailers, and delivery personnel at designated checkpoints by following established inspection steps and directing traffic flow to help to deter unauthorized access and/or disruptions.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including reporting concerns to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, parking areas, dock approaches, and perimeter areas as assigned, with working environments and conditions varying by location.
