As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal at a commercial real estate location, you will conduct routine foot and/or vehicle rounds, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and support access control and visitor badging. You will document observations, communicate clearly with property teams and guests, and respond to concerns with a customer-first approach. Requirements

  • Have 1+ years' law enforcement experience OR 2+ years' security supervisor/manager experience OR 3+ years' security experience.
  • Be at least 21+ years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control/badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and contractors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a commercial property.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting property management and/or emergency services as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, common areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or policy violations.
  • Monitor access points and observe site activity, greeting and directing visitors, assisting with deliveries, and helping to maintain orderly traffic and/or pedestrian flow.
  • Document patrol activity, incidents, and service requests in written and/or electronic reports, and communicate relevant updates during shift changes and/or as directed by site leadership.
