Join Allied Universal at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location where you will support security-related screening operations that keep packages and teams moving. As a Screener, you will operate screening equipment and perform X-ray inspections, follow site procedures, and maintain clear documentation. You will stay visible at key access points, conduct routine patrols when needed, and deliver strong customer service and communication while helping to reduce security-related concerns through teamwork and integrity.

Requirements

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • X-Ray screening experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, drivers, and employees by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
  • Screen individuals, bags, and shipments entering the facility using site-approved methods and equipment, and report prohibited items or policy concerns per post orders.
  • Control access at entry points by checking identification, verifying appointments or delivery documentation, issuing visitor credentials, and maintaining required logs.
  • Monitor assigned areas such as lobbies, screening stations, and loading dock approaches for unusual activity, and communicate concerns to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, document security-related activities, and conduct regular and random patrols around the building and perimeter as directed.
