As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a commercial real estate location, you will conduct routine foot patrols, stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and support access control and visitor flows. You will document observations, respond to requests, and communicate clearly with tenants and staff while using a computer and/or tablet for reporting. Requirements

• Possess a New York State Security Guard License.
• Be 21+ years of age.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a commercial property.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of building interiors, common areas, parking areas, and the property perimeter, reporting unusual activity and/or maintenance concerns.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation and coordinating with property management and/or first responders as needed.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with directing foot and vehicle traffic, and help to deter unauthorized entry through presence and professional communication.
• Complete detailed shift activity logs and incident reports, support investigations by preserving observations and information, and communicate updates to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
