Job Description As a Security Officer - Healthcare Center - Full Time in New York, NY , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will support access control and visitor flow, respond to calls for assistance, and communicate clearly with staff, patients, and guests while delivering customer service. Requirements

Have a minimum of 2 or more years of security-related experience.
Be at least 21 years of age.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

CPR certification is preferred.
Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating with clinical staff and local responders as needed.
Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas and the perimeter, including parking areas, entrances, corridors, and other assigned spaces to help to deter unauthorized activity.
Monitor access points and assist with visitor management practices, including directing foot traffic and supporting staff with access control expectations.
Observe and report unusual conditions, suspicious behavior, and policy violations, and complete timely documentation in required reports and logs.
Support de-escalation efforts for disruptive behavior and request additional assistance when situations may require a higher level of response.
Assist with security-related checks of doors, locks, lighting, and restricted areas, and report maintenance concerns through the proper channels.
Provide clear directions and general assistance to patients and visitors, supporting a professional and respectful environment.
Participate in shift briefings and follow post orders, emergency procedures, and client-specific protocols while representing Allied Universal in a courteous manner.
