Job Description As a Security Officer - Chemical Access Control in Freeport, TX , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a major chemical and petrochemical location, you will monitor entry points, conduct routine patrols, and help to deter security-related incidents while providing outstanding customer service. This is a driving post, so a valid driver's license is required. Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
At least one year of security-related experience is required.
A Transportation Worker Identification Credential issued by TSA is required.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Monitor and control access to the location, verifying credentials and granting entry to authorized personnel and visitors.
Provide customer service to clients, following security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations when appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining communication with Allied Universal and/or site management as required.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues.
Observe and report any suspicious activity or security-related incidents, documenting details and escalating as necessary.
Assist with enforcing compliance with company policies and procedures related to access control and prohibited items within the chemical and petrochemical environment.
Collaborate with other Allied Universal team members and site personnel to maintain a secure and orderly environment.
