Job Description As a Security Officer for Hospital, CPR Preferred in Long Beach, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps reduce security-related incidents. You will support staff, patients, and visitors with professional communication, clear reporting, and helpful customer service. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Handcuffing certification is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation and contacting clinical staff and/or local responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random foot patrols of patient areas, lobbies, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter points to help identify unusual activity, hazards, and/or policy violations.
  • Monitor access points and visitor flow, help enforce identification and visitor management requirements, and assist with wayfinding and directing individuals to appropriate departments.
  • Complete shift reports and incident documentation, communicate observations to site leadership, and support investigations by preserving relevant information and/or video when requested.
