As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy retail location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and remain highly visible to help deter security-related incidents. You will greet customers and team members, support access control and badge processes as needed, and communicate clearly with site leadership. Requirements

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, associates, and shoppers by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout retail sales floors, common areas, loading and receiving zones, and exterior perimeters, with working conditions that may vary by location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including disturbances, medical events, and suspicious activity, and request additional assistance when needed.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas to help to deter loss and/or disorderly conduct, and assist with access control and queue management as assigned.
• Complete shift activity reports and incident documentation, communicate observations to site leadership, and support local law enforcement and/or emergency services during response activities.
