Job Description As a Security Officer in Westlake, TX , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. Join Allied Universal at a leading financial institutions location where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will support access control and visitor processing, document activity using computer and/or tablet tools, and deliver strong customer service and clear communication. Requirements

  • Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Have access control and/or badge experience, preferred.
  • Have CPR and/or First Aid certification, preferred.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by following post orders, security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a financial services location.
  • Control access by verifying identification and credentials, managing visitor registration, issuing badges, and directing authorized personnel to appropriate areas.
  • Monitor alarms, cameras, and other building systems, report irregular activity, and help to deter unauthorized access and/or loss through presence and observation.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, initiate notifications, and document events in daily activity logs and incident reports.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of interior and exterior areas, including parking areas and perimeter points, and assist with escorts and/or controlled deliveries as needed.
