About The Position

Bison 01 provides comprehensive physical and technical security solutions for a high-net-worth family and their Hybrid Family Office (HFO). The Security Operations Center (SOC) Operator is a highly visible, dual-function role responsible for maintaining situational awareness for all protected assets, including personnel, facilities, and information. The operator is the first line of defense, responsible for proactive monitoring, rapid response coordination, and providing critical support to deployed security teams. The successful candidate will directly support the comprehensive security program and the safety and efficiency of high-level client movements and estate security operations. A strong customer service mindset is required in addition to core security competencies.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in a high-security environment (e.g., military, law enforcement, corporate SOC, or executive protection).
  • Familiarity with standard security operating procedures and incident command Structures.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in security technology, including CCTV, intrusion detection systems, access control systems, and various communications platforms.
  • Must be proficient in Google Workspace.
  • Must possess or be able to obtain a valid state driver’s license.
  • Possession of current CPR/First Aid/AED certification is required.
  • Candidates must be Colorado Residents, with a valid concealed carry permit.
  • Candidates must reside within a 30-minute drive from our Colorado Headquarters based in Longmont, Colorado.
  • Candidates must be proficient in the following small arms or an equivalent: Glock 19, M4 rifle, and M500 shotgun.
  • Sit for extended periods while monitoring security systems.
  • Maintain a high level of physical fitness, including the ability to run short distances.
  • Maintain the ability to drag an unconscious adult person from a vehicle or building, perform CPR, and the ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
  • Scheduling flexibility is key, with the ability to backfill open shifts as needed.
  • Candidates must be available to work, nights, weekends, and holidays.

  • Preferred experience in an executive protection environment, corporate security, or estate security position.

Responsibilities

  • Situational Awareness: Monitors and maintains awareness of all global security and political incidents that may affect operations or the safety of protected personnel.
  • Access Control and Monitoring: Operates and monitors technical security systems (CCTV, access control, alarms, intrusion detection, fire alarm systems) to protect personnel, assets, facilities, livestock, and information. This includes answering phone calls and monitoring all critical systems.
  • Emergency Response: Initiates and coordinates emergency response protocols (fire, medical, security) and ensures the timely and accurate escalation of incidents to supervisors and relevant stakeholders. Dispatches security staff as appropriate.
  • Security Reporting: Maintains accurate, detailed, and timely incident reports, daily logs, and shift summaries. Documents and investigates security events and incidents.
  • Movement Support (CRITICAL): Coordinates secure client movements, including itinerary tracking, geo-fence monitoring, threat analysis, and maintaining constant communication with deployed Executive Protection personnel and drivers to ensure safe and efficient transit.
  • Deployment Assistance: Assists shift supervisors in the deployment of security personnel and manages personnel activities across all protected locations. Issues equipment and maintains accountability of assets.
  • Communication: Serves as the central communication hub, maintaining clear and professional contact with staff, guests, vendors, emergency services, and employees via radio, telephone, email, and in-person.
  • Operational and Client Support: Handles diverse operational and personal tasks that extend beyond traditional physical security. This includes assisting client and movement teams with driving, performing advances, managing vehicle fleet operations, assisting vendors/contractors, and executing various personal tasks as directed by the client. Supports corporate and HFO operations.
  • Patrols: Conducts static and roving patrols.
  • Training: SOC operators will be expected to participate in ongoing training and evaluation including combatives, deescalation techniques, weapons proficiency, emergency medicine, driving, surveillance detection, and more.
