As a Security Officer - Patrol in Boise, ID, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a utilities location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will communicate clearly with site teams, respond to requests, and document observations while delivering customer service that reflects Allied Universal values of agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity within a people-first culture.

Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by following Allied Universal procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a utility location.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, yards, access roads, parking areas, and perimeter boundaries to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or hazardous conditions.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify authorization for access, and maintain security-related logs and reports in accordance with site requirements.
  • Respond to alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating notifications to site contacts and/or public responders as directed.
  • Observe and report security-related concerns such as damaged fencing, open gates, suspicious vehicles, and unusual activity, and assist with basic traffic and visitor direction when needed.
