As an Armed Patrol Officer at a busy retail location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents, and support guests and team members with strong customer service and clear communication. This post requires an armed guard card or license. At Allied Universal, you will be agile, reliable, and innovative while delivering through teamwork and always acting with integrity. Position Type: Flex Pay Rate: $18.89 / Hour Job Schedule: Day Time Mon 07:00 PM - 11:30 PM

Requirements

• Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Possess an armed guard card and unarmed guard card
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating with store leadership, property management and/or local law enforcement as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout retail areas, common spaces, parking lots and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity.
• Monitor access points, observe customer and employee activity for unusual behavior, and document security-related concerns in reports and/or logs according to site requirements.
• Assist with closing and opening procedures, alarm response and/or key control as assigned, while maintaining compliance with Allied Universal policies and post orders.
