As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a busy retail location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and remain visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will greet shoppers and team members, assist with questions, and communicate concerns to the appropriate contacts. Requirements

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients and guests by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a retail shopping location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation and contacting onsite management and/or emergency services as directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout interior retail areas, common spaces, and the exterior perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify maintenance and/or policy concerns.
• Monitor entrances, sales floor activity, and receiving and/or loading areas for unusual conditions, policy violations, and/or hazards, and report observations through the required channels.
• Complete required documentation such as patrol logs, incident reports, and daily activity reports, and communicate pertinent updates during shift briefings and/or post transitions.
