Now Interviewing for Full Time Security Officers! Working in conjunction with a Metropolitan Transit Task Force and our client security teams. MetroLink security professionals provide safety and security of riders on the transit light rail system, station platforms throughout the Greater St. Louis region. Customer service skills are a high priority. This is an outdoor posted position. Duties will include post security until relieved.

Requirements

  • 1 year Security Experience
  • Computer Literacy
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to Lift 20+ Pounds
  • Handcuffs, pepper spray, and/or baton experience is preferred.
  • Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following post orders and reporting requirements.
  • Conduct regular and random foot patrols of interior areas, entrances, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify hazards or maintenance concerns.
  • Monitor access points, verify identification and/or visitor authorization as directed, and document entries, exits, and deliveries per site procedures.
  • Complete routine reports, incident documentation, and shift handoff communication, and notify appropriate site contacts and/or emergency services when needed.
