Now Interviewing for Part Time Security Officers! Working in conjunction with a Metropolitan Transit Task Force and our client security teams. MetroLink security professionals provide safety and security of riders on the transit light rail system, station platforms throughout the Greater St. Louis region. Customer service skills are a high priority. This is an outdoor posted position. Duties will include post security until relieved.

Requirements

  • 1 year Security Experience
  • Computer Literacy
  • A minimum of 1+ years of security experience is required.
  • Must be 21+ years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to Lift 20+ Pounds
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
  • Handcuffs and/or pepper spray and/or baton experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting observations and notifying the appropriate personnel.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, grounds, and perimeter areas, monitoring for unusual activity and conditions that may help to deter unwanted behavior.
  • Control access by checking identification, directing foot and vehicle traffic, and maintaining visitor logs and/or access records in accordance with site requirements.
  • Operate and monitor security-related systems such as radios, cameras, and alarm panels when assigned, and communicate updates to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
