We are seeking an individual who has the ability to bring the vision of the Dollywood Security Services team to life. The right Security Services Support Technician will be equal parts curious learner, innovator, administrator, mentor and motivator. This role exists to provide all Dollywood Company properties with our unique Security Services, by providing the properties with network video surveillance through maintenance, installation, distribution, and updates to all support systems in accordance with applicable industry standards. The position will work in conjunction with the other Services Technician team members with tasks as needed in areas such as loss prevention, radio programming, network video surveillance, dispatching systems, Life Safety systems and data retention. Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age
  • Must have mechanical/technical experience
  • Experience assisting with fire and flood prevention preferred
  • Experience responding to calls for service regarding serious situations
  • High school diploma or equivalent required, Associates Degree in related field preferred
  • Must possess valid driver’s license and insurance and be able to operate/drive a company vehicle, TN preferred
  • Must have demonstrated experience with Windows Operating systems
  • Firm grasp on networking concepts such as IP addressing, etc.
  • Experience with basic routing and switching
  • Familiar with Ethernet cabling including Cat5 punch down and termination
  • Able to make a friendly impression when speaking to or corresponding with guests, vendors, and other employees
  • Must reflect Dollywood’s image by being genuinely friendly and caring and by taking pride in work
  • Must be self-motivated and disciplined
  • Must be able to prioritize and complete work assignments on a timely basis
  • Must maintain strict confidentiality and judgment regarding privileged information

  • Lifting and Carrying: Position may require occasional to frequent lifting of up to 50 lbs utilizing company’s safety guidelines for safe lifting
  • Mobility: Position may require intermittent to prolonged sitting, standing and/or walking for duration of shift, up to 13 hours. Employees may also be required to travel to various areas on property which may include changes in terrain, stairs and uneven surfaces
  • Repetitive Movements: This position may require performing repetitive movements and tasks throughout the shift, including repeated use of hands, arms or other body parts as part of typical job functions
  • Environmental Conditions: This position requires the ability to perform work tasks in varying weather conditions to include extreme cold and heat. Employees may be required to work indoors and outdoors
  • Cognitive and Sensory Requirements: This position requires strong cognitive skills, including the ability to think critically, solve problems, process and retain information, have attention to detail and communicate effectively using approved methods

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred minimum of one (1) year experience in a service role in fast paced, service-oriented environment
  • Preferred minimum of two (2) years of experience with camera or electronic Access Control systems
  • Preferred to be working toward or already have CompTIA A+ and Network+ Certifications
  • Candidate will have to pass a background check and credit check and role is subject to drug screen
  • TN preferred
  • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Responsibilities

  • Provide first tier technical support for Video surveillance networks across all Dollywood Parks and Resorts Properties
  • Troubleshoot and support camera, access control, Life Safety systems and other Loss Prevention systems
  • Maintain corporate security and confidentiality
  • Manage calls and maintenance support tickets. Ensure that all calls for assistance and steps to resolve are documented for future reference by other Security Services Personnel
  • Create and maintain documentation as needed
  • Perform hands-on support for Video Surveillance systems. This may include installing, configuring, and upgrading all relevant hardware and software
  • Diagnose and resolve basic networking issues impacting Security Services systems
  • Install new network runs for use by Security services systems
  • Apply diagnostic utilities and tools to aid in troubleshooting
  • Available to provide “on call” support as scheduled
  • Responsible for maintaining access control or monitoring capabilities at all host, guest, and service entrances via Physical or Electronic equipment
  • Install Access control devices and ensure systems are up-to date
  • Must be able to duplicate keys and cores
  • Repairing locks and replacing cores as needed
  • Minor Carpentry and Mechanical repair
  • Responsible for maintaining accurate records on the location of cores and custody of keys
  • Maintain the communication facilities, radios and auxiliary generator
  • Maintaining an ample stock of key blanks, cores, locks and hardware
  • Responsible for support, monitoring and providing oversight to the Fire Suppression Systems and Security Alarm Systems on property
  • Responsible for maintaining portions of property alarm systems and ensuring user data is up to date.
  • Escalate problems (when required) to a Service Desk or Leadership
